I have a 2001 seaview, and this winter I had 4 of my storage compartment doors crack. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix them.

Mindy, contact Ortega Mfg 3960 Industrial Ave. Hemet, CA 92545. Phone: (951) 766-9363. It is my understanding they have the molds to reproduce the doors.

Mindy,

I had the three rear left bay doors rebuilt and custom painted (3 colors) by "The Paint Department", in Chino, CA. three months ago. They did a superb job. Their phone number is 800-544-5033.

What would make them "crack"? Hit something?

Why they cracked is a good question, it was sitting next to my house and we had a cold spell come through, -12 one night and after the cold spell, I had cracks in the doors. I know that the doors have a poor design, and I am thinking poor material as well. It had to be from weather or moisture, but some of the cracks are at the top by the hinge so I am thinking that if it was moisture the cracks would be at the bottom of the doors. Two of the cracks are in the middle of the door top to bottom.

The doors are made from a material called CENTREX, it is a type of plastic. This was a bad design By NRV and affected many coaches.
Stress is what causes it to crack.
