Brake lens

My brake light is out, so I tried to pry at a 45 degree angle. It popped right out! Two rubber posts AND two plastic pins on the outside edge, so pull gently at first. But, it popped right out. Thanks to everyone for the posts

Joepacifica. Sorry to bother you.
I have a replacement Hella 8805 series tail/directional unit to replace the one damaged earlier by attempting to pry the red lens from the fixture. It has 4 screw bosses and, as a result, is attached to some type of mounting plate. When you pried yours off did you pry off only the one fixtures or all 4 as an assembly. And, once pried off, did a mounting plate with the 4 studs through the fiberglass end cap remain attached to the cap?
I sure do not want to do any further damage. I do not know what, if any, changes in lighting National made between the Tradewinds and the Pacifica.

I was tentative, afraid to break it, but I started on the left side of the right tail light and rocked it right and left with my fingers, no pry bars. There are two female rubber cups attached to the coach and two male rubber 1.5" studs attached to the tail light assembly. If not separated for years, they will be dry and stuck together. I rocked right and left and it popped off. The brake bulb was just not making good contact. I wrote down the number and put it back together and it worked. When the assembly is out, there is a bracket that attaches the cups and six screws that free the bulb assembly from the lens. When I put it back together, I put a (very little) bit of lithium grease around the stud and the cup. It holds well and seems happier than when I took it off. It will come loose easier but does not pop off. It is pretty secure. Just be careful because the rubber is probably dry and wants to stay where it is. Good luck. If I can take pix tomorrow, I will pop it off and show you. I want to put led bulbs in both sides, so I will have to do the other side eventually.

WOW, on the 2003 Tradewinds it is 4 screws holding the Ford Econoline lens and it just pulls right out. A five minute job.
