Thoughts on MH insurance

Purchased my '99 Tradewinds last month...my insurance through Foremost is $1170/yr. It seemed a little high so checked Good Sam and theirs is $1600/yr! Yikes! I thought Good Sam would be a bit cheaper than Foremost. Any thoughts?

Within the last year lots of owners have complained about their rates going up. Don't have a good answer, just check your coverage, making sure you feel comfortable if something goes "Bang"

Try progressive. You can get a quote online immediately.
I've had good luck with them on my 2001 dolphin. Reasonable price and good response on 2 minor claims. Roadside service on blowout and windshield rock chip.

Bought my '99 Tradewinds 1½ years ago. Found that AARP's Hartford policy was unbeatable at less than $500/yr. Includes RV towing and other extras. Of course, it depends on where you live, driving record, etc., but I'm thrilled with the coverage and the price.

Our vehicles are insured with The Hartford through AARP, cost is about $1800 LESS per year than our previous company, Nationwide.

I have all my vehicles (4) with Geico and my motorhome coverage cost me $268.59 for 6 months coverage. That includes $500.01 deductable for collision and comp plus towing, emergency road service, medical and uninsured motorist. I'm not full time.

I have just my coach insured (no other vehicles) with Allied. We are not full timers and one year was a little under $800. On a previous coach we had earlier this year we also had Allied and had extensive hail damage in Del Rio TX in February. Allied came through and handled the claim properly and fairly ... so I don't have a problem staying with them.

The $800 was on a 2006 Allegro Bus ... I need to go in and change my information as think it still has the picture of the previous MH. (edit: Just changed successfully)

Try Farm and City in IA, I think. FCIS.com or something similar. They are brokers.

Thoughts on MH insurance

Overland Ins. Services they are licensed to write in all states except Hawaii. I believe its underwritten by Nationwide.

I'm not sure I can post this on this forum, so I'll try and skirt the issue. I had Progressive. Then I realized where and to who my money was going, and cancelled immediately. Do some online research and decide if you want your money going to this guy.

I went with GEICO on my 02 Sea Breeze Bus and it's about 1040.00 per yr for full coverage as a part timer.

I fully agree B Dubya and would never purchase insurance with them.
