Tropi-Cal Manuals

Hi
I'm a very new user. I just got my 2001 Tropi-Cal back from California into BC. It too came without coach manuals. I too would like to know if anyone can help me source one or a copy.

I also am chasing a vibration issue. The vibration seems to come on at 32 MPH and peak at 55 MPH. The steering wheel does not shimmy. I replaced the front tires and there is no problem there. The mechanic said he will check the rear tires and drive shaft ( and carriers) tomorow and then look at the rear end and bearings.
Does anyone have any experiences in this area? Rear end and bearings seems a very long shot and excessive.

hi Cal! First of all- Welcome to iRV2! You are posting here in what I consider the "off-season" ...so many folks may not be here.

I cannot help you here - but I would like for you to post here in a couple of days if you have no responses. ..and I will then move this to another location to see if we get more help.

Again-welcome to iRV2...we hope you visit & post often!

if you join the National RV group on Yahoo, you will find some good docs there that might be of help for you. I found wiring diagrams and stuff like that.

Hi
Let me ask if this motorhome is on a Ford Chassis with the V-10 engine?
If so, there is quite a bit of information on line about this problem. If this is the case with yours, don't go spending a whole bunch on shocks, tires etc. at least not yet.
Apparently Ford had a problem with the centre hole of the wheel rim being slightly too large for the rotor hub, which basically allows the wheel to be mounted slightly off center and almost impossible to balance.
Ford in all their wisdom decided that this really wasn't their problem and tried to sweep the entire situation under the rug - no recalls but possibly a service bulletin.
There is a special way to balance these wheels, but it's fairly costly (from what I've heard). Several owners have come up with some ways to get these wheels mounted on center.
Some searching on Google should point you in the right direction as it was (or is) a fairly common problem for certain for Motorhome Chassis and while I'm not certain, I think your year of motorhome may be included in that issue.

Hi again

Re: Your manuals - here's a link that should help you.

Manuals - 1990 & Newer - RVing-The Midwest Connection

If someone doesn't have it, they will try to find one for you.
Just curious, did you buy your motorhome from Clearchoice? If so, get on Shawn's case to find you a manual.
