Two Grey Water Tanks?

So I noticed this 07 Dolphin has Two grey water monitors, yet the owners manual only addresses one. When dumping the water I confirmed that there is in fact two tanks. Is this normal?

Also the tank monitor panel shows a Holding Tank. Yet the picture in the owners manual shows it labeled as the waste water tank. I assume they are the same thing, black water.

This is all new to me and I'm still learning, sorry if my questions are too basic.

Yes two tanks is normal. One tank for shower and one tank for kitchen sink.

Yes, black and waste are two terms for the same tank

Why does the owners manual say nothing about having two grey water tanks? The manual shows so many things in it that are different from what this RV actually has.

Most times owner manuals are generic and useless. Thats why we have this forum.

MH designed by one engineer, manual written by another. The technical term is "as designed vs as built"

Got it thanks!

But why are there two separate grey water tanks instead of just one? I'd think it would be one large tank. Is it for weight distribution on the RV?

And how do I know which tank monitor and dump valve, is for the galley or the shower? Nothing is marked telling which is which.

Empty both tanks.
Close both valves
Turn on the shower.
Leave it running until one of the two gauges gauge clearly shows a tank partly full.
Remember which one it is. Mark it "Shower" or whatever.

Turn off the shower.

Go outside and operate one of the grey water valves.

If no water comes out, mark that handle "Not the shower Tank"
If water does come out, mark the OTHER valve "Not the shower tank"
