Unknown switches

I have an 03 Dolphin. I have a seperate light type switch just under the switches for the battery disconnect, step, porch light, compartment lights panel by the entrance that I have no clue what it does. Also have one in bathroom by toilet paper roll next to ac outlets. Again no clue what it does. Can anyone help?
Thanks, Galen in Amarillo.

Welcome to irv2 gfb.
The switch's may be for your hot water heater heating element. If you turn them on red light will light indicating element is on.
Some water heaters have a switch on the face of WH that has to be turn on also.
That switch is for safety reasons, if no water in heater you would burn out the heating element. When you winterize turn the face switch off.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

On my 03 Dolphin (manufactured in Jan of 03) The one beside the front door turns the 600 watt inverter on and off. The one next to the AC outlet in the bathroom turns the AC element in the water heater on and off.

Bob, wa7hra

PS: It would help if you provided a profile telling us what year and model of Dophin you have.

Thanks, Bob. I was wondering how the inverter worked. How quickly will it drain the batteries? My Dolphin is a 5342 also with W-22 Chasis. I would do a profile but am novice at this forum business. Does that have something to do with the tags? About the water heater element switch. Is there also a switch on the heater itself that needs to be on? Do you need to cut LP off to heater if using element? As you can tell my wife and I are rookies in the RV world. Lots of questions. Lots to learn.
