W22 National Seabreeze 2006 3860lx water tank overflow hose replacement

I am fairly handy, but this one’s got me stumped!

My 2006 Seabreeze 38LX (Workhorse W22 chassis) fresh water tank overflow hose located in the rear of the vehicle is cracked and broken. When I drive or park on an incline, the water sloshes out, and because the flex plastic hose is broken about 6 inches from the tank it is also likely that bugs, road dirt, and other undesirables are getting into the fresh water tank.

The open end of the 4–5 foot flexible overflow hose is mounted about 3–4 feet above the tank and a hanger bracket appears to be attached to the endcap of the coach body.

I’ve tried reaching up between the endcap and tank, but there’s not enough room to access the hose, tank flange, or open end mounting bracket for repair or replacement.

Does anyone know how to get to the overflow hose/ fresh water tank connection and also the hose end mounting bracket about 4 feet above the tank?

Do I have to remove the endcap of coach body and is this something that is reasonable to do?

Any ideas on where to get a replacement hose or some sort of a one way overflow valve to replace the plastic hose?

Appreciate any tips, suggestions or constructive comments!
