OK...one last problem to fix. Water heater with electronic start does not work. Light comes on at the control panel, have checked the gap of the starter. Any ideas of what else to check. Love the way the dealer checked everything out.

2000 National Tradewind 7370. Heater is a Atwood.

Check for good thermal cut off / fuse or the ECO (hi limit) & T-Stat sensor set.

Jeepster is right! It is the thermal cut off/fuse that is on the water heater. I have a 06 Seabreeze that did the same thing. I ordered a new fuse and it fixed my problem.5 min fix.

OK, I changed the Thermal cut off/fuse.....still no go. Any other suggestions?

Check the ECO (high limit) & T-stat sensor set. They are located behind the "black" foam protector about 3" x 4" in size. They look like large watch batteries.

Spent half a day trobule shooting a frinds, not heating, water heater by LP.
After replacing the WH circuit igniter board, gas igniter and thermal cut off fuse, the only things left were the ECO (high limit) & thermostat sensors. Used a voltage meter to check the continunity of the T-Stat sensors. No continunity, bad sensors. Can purchase a set of sensors at CW or any RV supply shop that sells Atwood WH parts. Costs about $20 per set. Must be replaced as a set.

Thanks to all for your suggestions and info, the problem was fixed. When I bought the unit the wires were connected to the terminal on the top of the circuit board, moved them to the middle of the board and IT WORKS.

I went through all this this spring at a cost of almost $300. Problem was there was no water in the water heater, and of course the gas will only burn for 10 to 15 seconds. Don't know how long electric will go before it shuts down.

But I left the bi-pass valve in the wrong position, and water would not go through it. Turned it on, and it worked fine.

I can tell you that an electric element in a water heater wiwll only last a matter of minutes with no water. You don't want to know how I learned this. They are easy to change if you have a thinwall 1 1/2" socket. I have one now.
