water heater question

On my 04 Dolphin monitor panel I have separate 12 volt and 120 volt switches for water heater. Is it really 12 volts or is that for propane?

I'm pretty sure it's the propane lighter- a 12v heater would deplete your batteries quickly.

The 12 volt is the igniter for the propane. The igniter lights the pilot, which heats up the thermocouple and allows the propane valve to open.

The 12V is for your control board as is needed for fridge, furnace and other control boards.
Your LP Detector maybe supplied from your chassis battery and house batteries supply all control boards.
You can use both the 110 AC AND LP Gas to heat up your water faster.
