Water Pressure Regulator
Newbee question here. I bought a pressure regulator for the water hookup. I got a high-flow regulator thinking we whould have better flow for showers. The high-flow regulator is set to 50 to 55 psi and says not for use on "older motorhomes". Is 2003 considered an older MH? I also read on here, that some Nationals have a regulator already installed. Just wondering if it is ok to use this regulator, and is there any benefit over a regular, "40 to 50 psi" regulator?

I just installed the exact one yesterday. My wife loves it and me again. To your question, I don't have an exact answer. But the thing is old units have less capable plumbing and it could possibly pop a fitting off. I would think yours is ok. But others will answer or you could contact the mfg and get there opinion. I's yours an adjustable one with the gage on it? If so you can set it to factory recommendations and you wil get as much water as the regulator will let pass. The non adjustable ons restrict the flow a lot more than the hi flow ones. Good luck.

We use a flow regulator in our 2013 to prevent water lines from bursting. We take "army" showers so flow is usually not a problem.

I don't think so. I had an 05 with the same materials as our new one

I think you already have a regulator built in behind the water control panel. I know I did as did many others.

That's a restrictor. I use a watts regulator 263A.
You regulate the pressure.

That looks better than mine. Always like a gauge better.

Put it on the hose bib not the motorhome end. I had a hose blow years ago at the hose bib due to 125 psi water pressure in the park.

I have a 2003 5355, plumbing should be the same. I have been using a hi-flow regulator for years with no problems. I agree with putting it at the hose bib.
