You need an adapter plug from 50A to 30A to 15A-110 volts. Is that what you are looking to do? The 50A cord should be in the electrical bay on the driver's side.

If you are looking to run power to the motorhome, you will need the adapter to change the 30 amp end of your power cord to 15 amp 3 prong that you can plug into an extension cord or directly into household 110 outlet.

Welcome!!!
As others have commented, you simply need adapter(s) to get to a standard 120v extension cord to power the coach.

Welcome aboard and glad you joined us. As mentioned you need the adapter mentioned. Your nearest rv dealer will have them as well as
WalMart. Good luck and enjoy your coach.

Your 50A or 30A (depending which the coach is) cord, may be plugged into a outlet in the sevice bay, which supplies power from the generator.

Here is what it looks like in my 1999 Tradewinds. It's the furthest bay aft on the drivers side. Ignore the meters on the right, I added them. You'll probably find the 50 AMP shore power cord in the same bay.
Also here is a link to all the documentation that came with mine. The engine and chassis are not the same, but almost all the OEM items will be common.

If your new to Rving understand you are very limited as to what you can run with the extension cord. Use a heavy one and as short as possible. Good to check both ends from time to time to make sure they are not heating up too much till you are confident they are not being over loaded.

If your talking shore power you may not have a automatic transfer switch ( ATS) I don't. If you don't in your elec. bay your power cord will be plugged into an elec. socket. This is how you get power from the generator when you have hook ups for shore power you unplug this plug and run it to the power post at the camp ground and get shore power.

I did some work on a 1998 Tropic-Cal and it was a Ford V10 with 30 AMP service. National may have gone to 50 Amp in 1999 but if they didn't your plug will not be the same and the one as in the picture. Be sure NOT to plug your coach into 220 Volt Service like a dryer or you'll really blow out most of your AC appliances. These coaches only use 115 Volts AC service. Here is a link to the wiring documents for both 50 AMP and 30 AMP services to help you identify it when you find it.

If your unsure post a picture and folks here can help you get it hooked up right.
You can plug into a normal household 15 AMP plug but you won't be able to run a Air Conditioner or even the Micro Wave. Well perhaps the Micro Wave if everything else is turned off. Use a AWG 10 extension cord and try to keep it to 25 ft. If you have to use a 50 Ft one don't run any high current appliances like the Micro Wave or the Coffee Pot or Hair Dryer.
You will charge your batteries through the inverter/charger but it takes AC current to do it and you won't be able to shut that off so wait over night to turn on other things.
Here is a link to the 2000 spec sheet. Yours could be a Ford or Chevy and they came in both 30 and 50 Amp service.

There is also a brochure for the 1999 here

I found these two here

It is possible that you are asking "where to plug in a regular ext cord outside the coach" like to power a drill or something. If that's it, mine is a double socket, on the passenger side, about the middle of the coach, under a flip up cover. Rook
