Which tires to Buy for 2000 Sea View 8310?

Need to buy 6 new tires. My tires are date code xx06. size 245/70T x 19.5F (the OHTSU tires on it now are load range G).

I have found that Toyo Corp says they won't install on National RVs. What brand tires are you using?

I just had 6 new Michelin 235/80R/22.5 installed. I got them through the FMCA Michelin Advantage Program. Rook

Recently put 6 Hancook tires on our 97 Newmar. There is a full service truck business near us that does a lot of road service and a big tire dealer. They highly recommended the Hancooks and a lot of truckers have been using them and are very reliable at half the price. The ride and handling is very good and a local RV dealer also recommended them.

I was all set to buy Michelin XRV. The guy said he had them. Joined FMCA. All set. Now the tire guy says he doesn't have the tires and cannot get them until mid July. Another dealer had them but the date code showed they were already over a year old. I think I will go with the G rated Hankook tires. Saving around $200. which is not much, but the tires are available. The other option is to drive the RV from San Diego to Florence, OR on the 8 year old tires and fight the battle up there and not pay CA sales tax. The old tires (OHTSU) are rated G and they look great.

Anyone have experience with Hankook tires?

No experience with Hankook but I just bought 6 new Michelin XRVs for our MH through FMCA. It only took our dealer in Boise 10 days to get the tires and they are dated 1414, which I think means they were built in the first week of April 2014. Maybe your dealer needs to try again to order them in.

Same here.....see post #2....all six of my tires had DOT dates of April 2014. It took the local MICHELIN dealer about 4 weeks to get the tires. Rook

I put Kuhmo's on the back and a pair of Bridgestone steer tires on the front. They have been great.

You can try Costco for Michelin. I bought my 22.5's there a few years ago and they got literally new tires one week old. Maybe things have changed but the price was right.

Sounds like you like the tires you have except for age, nothing succeeds like success. Get some more.
