During most of the year in north Georgia, I can exercise my generator
in the time the MH is "stored" in the back yard by disconnecting the shore power (50A) and turning down the thermostat so the A/C is putting a load on the generator.
What are options that the forum members have used in the cooler weather? When it is really cold, the gas heat warms the coach up to the point that the heat-pump can handle the temperature change. Yes, the gas furnace does use a blower but that isn't a significant load on the electrical system, which is the reason for "exercising" the generator. 1) I hate wasting the LP when I'm trying to consume A/C and 2) I'm not sure how much of a load the heat-generating (heat pump) setting is using in the HVAC.
Outside of using a couple of resistive element electric heater what can I use?
