Wipe new cleaner

was wondering if anyone has used wipe new on your outer plastic bay door
storage compartments? I want to use something that will clean and coat
the bay doors as they are looking very faded. have never treated them and was wondering if the wipe new product was worth the money and if it did a good job of cleaning and protecting the outer bay doors? if not the
wipe new what product do u guys recommend? thanks for any suggestions.

I have tried them both, "Wipe New" and "Detail Doctor+" Each one has it's own use. The "wipe new" worked very well for faded "Plastic" head lamps,And other plastic tril on the out side of the car/pickup truck, but it only lasted around 6 months down here in the N. Carolina. D Doc+ did one hell of job plastic and vinyl interiors stuff. It also worked on my Dolphin vinyl stripes on the outside of the rig, very time taking process. Now keep in mind, this is just my own opinion for my use of it.

If your doors were like mine, it's the clear coat that is starting to come off and making them look faded. I scraped the clear coat off my doors with a single edge razor blage scraper. Then I polished them with Griot's Garage machine polish (all three) using a random orbital polisher. Then I finished using Meguiar's Flagship Marine Wax. The doors shine better then they ever have since we bought the Dolphin. Did it three months ago, still look like I just did it. Takes a little work, but the shine is worth it. Hopefully I will only need to touch them up once or twice a year with Meguiar's.
