'13 Allegro Bus Water Switchover Valve

We are new to RVing (Tiffin) - have run into an issue that apparently Tiffin is aware of and advised to 'just buy a check valve, install it and we'll reimburse you for it' - anyone out there experience this ? Quite a disappointing in their response. Because the check valve is inside the pump it isn't quite the 'easy' r & r.
Thanks, we are enjoying reading everyone's experiences.

Can you give us a bit more information? What were the symptoms of the problem you experienced and where were you supposed to instal the valve? Or was your problem in the pump and/or internal pump bypass? Our pump is cycling at low flow and according to Shurflo needs to be adjusted.

Since your rig is new, a visit to ANY Tiffin dealer or the factory should get this handled without charge or effort on your part. If you're getting that type of response from the factory HELP LINE, my next call would be to Bob Tiffin. From my experience with Mr. Tiffin, He would not stand for this approach on one of his new, upper end coaches.

city water/tank fill valve

thanks for your comments, it's not the water pump at all, it's the switch valve, Tiffin has admitted there is an issue, it's getting it repaired/replaced that is baffleing us.....doesn't make sense to just install is new check valve....will post what we find out from service center later in week.

Tiffin's response to you sounds fine to me. They've told you what the two possibilities are for causing the problem (ball valve or check valve) and now it is up to you to decide if you want to fix it yourself (the pump check valve is very easy as the pump is right there in the wet bay) or take it somewhere to be repaired.

Since you are under warranty, call Don Boyd at Tiffin for authorization to get it fixed (and that can even be a mobile repair guy or a non-Tiffin dealer if it is more convenient for you) or the parts sent to you if you want to fix it yourself. Either way, you will be taken care of.
