2003 Allegro Bus

Headed out last Saturday and heard loud wind noise coming from front passenger windshield. Closer inspection revealed the top right corner of windshield had popped out. Ended up just putting duct tape on it to continue our trip. Has anyone had this happen for no apparent reason? None of the glass companies in my area seem to want to tackle fixing this problem. I called Nationwide RV glass and they are quoting approx $1000.00 to fix this. Seems awful high to me. Any suggestions.

Not unheard of, years of flexing, seals getting old etc.. You will be hard pressed to find someone to try a repair, they donít want the responsibility in case they break the windshield.., which is a good possibility with an older windshield.

I have the same year bus that you have and problem with the windshield. I have been trying to get windshield fixed to where it will stay in place. The glass shop that handled fixing the windshield, removed the gasket and pressed the windshield back in placed and reinstall the gasket that works for a little while. I will be taking it back to them to see if they can fix it where it will stay. I had them fix a couple of weeks ago prior to going on a trip. While on the trip I heard a noise up by the windshield and found a small separation. They said that flexing of the front from going over large bumps will cause the windshield to pop out. If they do something different I will come back to this post on what they did.
