Anyone with this model? I would appreciate any comments, good or bad. I have been looking for a good while now and think I have found the right coach. My wife even said "this is the one" when we stepped inside. This unit has the Mercedes eng, is this good or bad? Wondering about the storage space, is it enough? We are not full timers but take up to one month trips. We really like that Tiffin moved the TV to mid coach and at eye level. The coach really drives and rides extremely good. Is there anything I should look for in/and under the coach that may not be readily seen?
Thanks,
JD

Check the maintenance records, check the fluids, check the pressure in the tires after weighing the coach, operate every system in the coach, several times to make sure they are all working. I.E. Jacks down & up, slides in and out, run water thru all faucets with cold & hot water, heat water with electric and with propane, start the generator, blow the horn (this one's fun), check all tvs, radios and electronics, check and dash gauges, drain the air tanks to check for moisture and proper working, check all the windows for signs of fogging, etc. The one thing you don't check will be broke. Sounds like a wonderful coach.

It should be a great coach. Freightliner offered the Mercedes engines for a while, then stopped because it (supposedly) became too costly to meet the newer emissions. But they were having trouble making enough MBE926 engines fast enough to meet demand so I have a feeling that's the biggest part of the answer.
The Phaeton driver's with the MBE926 love the engine. It's more efficient and gives them better fuel economy yet has 1,000 ft-lbs of torque with the 330 HP model. Later on they went to 350 HP but had less torque but I forget the actual number - maybe 850? Some owners of the 36QSH reported up to 11 MPG with the MBE 926, which ain't bad for a diesel pusher.
If it's in good shape you should be very well pleased with it. Also, if you call Tiffin with the VIN nbr they will tell you any warranty history for that coach.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like we are going to get the coach next week. The coach appears to be in great shape and the reason I asked if anything needed to be checked that I couldn't see. I will have the vin checked at Tiffin. With only 13,000 miles, it may not have been serviced at all. I will require at least oil and filter and chassis lube as part of the deal.
, that way I will know when next service is due.
