Well since my buddy Joe-K is hot on the trail of a new Bus he asked if I would take a few photos of the 08 43' model. (Click the gallery link to the right)

Bill, did you happen to get a price on the Bus? It is a sweet rig.

Thanks Bill for taking all the pictures. The sale on our Journey is pending but I'm holding off till the deal is done to place our order.

Right now, delivery is being quoted at 10-12 weeks.

We did have a chance to test drive a 42QRP a couple weeks ago and were really inpressed with the rig, but since the 43 is brand new and just made it's debut at the show, it was great to see the pictures.

George, I actually really liked the 40' floor plan they had there, but it had a queen bed and didn't appear that a king could fit. To be honest though there really is no major updates that these rigs have over my current rig. I would love to swap out my furniture with flexsteel and fix a few bugs I have and I will be good to go for a few more years.

Steve, Joe would better be able to answer that, but I think it retailed in the 330's

I have Tiffin MSRP price lists on my website at http://www.rvcruzer.com/pricing.htm. These are east coast price lists. The west coast price lists have a slight increase in the base price to allow for differences in freight, which is included in the base price.

The 43QRP is very similar to the 42QRP. The biggest difference is the floorplan, which pretty much mirrors the 42QRH Phaeton.

I'd prefer the legless dinette setup which my 42QRP has versus the bench setup on the show unit. But, the 43QRP has your choice of front TV, midship TV in the hutch, or both. Plus, the bathroom vanity is built into the slideout and that really opens up the floor space in that area.

My dealer has one coming in for stock in a couple of weeks and he's already had tremendous interest in it. It should be a popular floor plan.

Our thoughts on the dinette are the same as Marks. We prefer the legless dinette and queen sleeper sofa rather than the dinette/lounge combination and have spec'd ours out to be ordered that way.

We're still up in the air regarding the front TV though. Right now, we're leaning to not having the Front TV and only having the standard rear one although both front and rear for Surround Picture might be cool to go with the surround sound.

Joe-

Find someplace to put another tv. Then, you'd have 5 - one for each of you. No more having to compromise on who wants to watch what.

Warpath: You commented that the sewer compartment was well thought out. I cannot tell from the picture but have they mad that compartment large enough to hold a 20 ft. sewer hose?

You can fit a 20' hose in there. I put two 10' hoses in mine, one with the angled head and one as an extension hose. The discharge elbow can be rotated either down to go out the hatch or out to shoot straight out the side. While 20' of hose will fit in the down position, I generally turn the elbow to the rear so that it's easier to get it in and out.
