2008 ALLEGRO BAY 35TSB gas

Hello,
My wife and I are shopping for a Class A for full timing. We found one on-line that we really like. When I try to search for specs all I can fine are diesels. Allegro Bay is on the front in the pictures and the dash shows Workhorse and looks like a Chevy. The interior looks like the diesel on the Tiffin brochure archive. Any idea where I can find specs, especially storage?

Tiffin's website is pretty limited on older models, but keep searching. I have a 2004 Allegro Bay, is a workhorse chassis which is Chevy. The Bay (in 2004) has the door behind the front wheel, they also made Allegro Bus which has the door in front of the wheel and is a diesel pusher.
Looking at classified ads on Ebay and Craigslist helps identify some of these.
Good luck!

We've had a couple of 10 year old Allegro Bays in stock. I drove them and those front engine diesels are terribly loud. The house part of the coaches was real nice but I couldn't take the engine noise, which is worse than a gasser V-10.

A 2008 Allegro Bay on a Workhorse chassis will have the GM 8.1L GAS V-8 and an Allison 6 speed tranny. It is most likely the W-24 chassis (GVWR 24,000 pounds) but Tiffin also used the W-25.5 varient. There was not a diesel engine option with the Workhorse chassis back then. ALL Workhorse chassis vin # begin with "5B4" and the W-24 / 25.5 models will have an "A" as the sixth character of the vin #.

IF it has a diesel engine then the chassis was built by FCCC, and Tiffin built quite a few of them, aka "FRED" chassis.

There is a brochure:

I just bought a 2008 35TSB model a few months ago and except for the generator falling out I'm very happy with it.

BTW, it's called an MC chassis and I don't think they made them for many years. Something like 2006 - 2009.

We have had both the gas Chevy 8.1 on Workhorse Chassis and the front end Cummins Diesel (FRED) on a Freightliner Chassis. Weight in front handles well, no problem with wind or passing semi trucks on interstate. Noticible decible increase pulling a steep grades in both but ok otherwise. Storage and floor plans not much difference.
