2008 allegro bus electrical issues

Hello I have 2008 allegro bus first thing electric slides only work intermittently I think it is the signal from ignition that is the problem but dont know how to trace. Second is my chassis batteries dead after only 18 months I replaced both with 1000 cca interstate batteries and now two days later they are dead. I think it's related but at a loss. Any ideas thank you in advance for any help

Your slide issues could be a number of things. Park brake switch, ignition supply, ground problem..........

As far as the chassis battery, get an in-line ammeter and hook it up at the battery. Charge up the battery for 24 hours first.

Pull either positive or negative cable off and hook up the ammeter to the post and cable. Read the draw with everything shut off. If there's any draw, start pulling fuses one at a time to see which one changes your reading. I know it's a slow tedious job, but it has to be done to find the draw.

Good luck.

Draining two 12V starting batteries in 2 days is a pretty serious draw. Check some simple things like checking for marker lights, park lights, headlights on. When the key is off the parasitic draw on the battery should be good for a week or two before you have a problem. Do you have a trickle charger on these batteries? If no charger, or if not hooked to power, turn the battery cut off switch off and see if the batteries still discharge in 2 days. That would help in narrowing where the draw is.

Dead in 2 days, there should be a significant spark when connecting the cables.

Pull fuses one by one until the spark stops.
