2010-2012 40' Phaeton Exhaust Shield Recall (powerglide)

Anyone have first hand knowledge of the exhaust shield recall on the 2010-2012 Phaetons with PowerGlide chassis? I am in the process of purchasing a 2011 model and checked with Tiffin to see that all recalls had been done on the coach. Apparently there was an initial recall for the above problem but a new recall has been issued as of this month requiring further modifications due to potential failures of the original fix. I refer you to NHTSA RECALL #15V-612. I will be traveling to inspect the coach next week and would like to be better informed of what to look for and or what the new fix might entail. My understanding is that the new fix is recommended to be done at Red Bay and will require modifications to the storage area associated with the problem. The coach is located roughly 600 miles from me so would have to feel comfortable driving it home and of course then heading to Red Bay in the near future. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Before we picked up our AB, we called Tiffin with the VIN and they gave us the recall and Tiffin mod status. The exhaust shield is shielding heat from wooden floor and a section of wooden structure was cut away. The AB had another recall that the Pheaton didn't have. But check with TMH. If you ask nice she may verbally give you the compete history. Did us.
