Unhappy 2011 Allegro 32CA dvd player

Help!
I have tried pretty much of everything I can think of to play a dvd in our Panasonic TV! The coach is equipped with all the original equipment with the exception of an older VCR/DVD player hooked up to the video input on the TV.

I have tried switching the A/B switch, made sure that the input is for HDMI1, had the satellite dish both on and off, tried the antenna on and off and I still can not see the DVD playing on the TV! I can hear the Panasonic DVD player working and it progresses forward (from the counter) as it plays.

Any suggestions? I Really don't get it since it worked when I first had the coach.

Howard,

Our Breeze had a similar problem - DVDs used to play and then suddenly stopped working. I'm usually pretty good with A/V stuff but couldn't get it going again, so threw up my hands and called the Tiffin customer service guys. They walked me through set up and it unbelievably had something to do with setting up the screen resolution. Made no sense to me, but did get DVDs working again.

Call the Tiffin customer service guys and they should be able to help.

Good luck, rick p

What are the outputs from the DVD player? Do you have HDMI? Component? or both?

My preference is for HDMI but you can use the component cables if needed (red, green, blue, +2 audio cables). Hook either set of those cable directly to a TV, insert a disc, and select the proper input on the TV. If that works, then you have ruled out the components. If it doesn't, then you probably have a bad DVD player.

Next step is cabling. On my 2012, the DVD/HTS system is in the bedroom behind the TV. There is a digital audio cable coming into the HTS system and an HDMI and Component cable set going out. You can use either one (HDMI or Component) to connect to the mid-cabin TV (and use the other one for the satellite receiver). Reconnect everything and try again. If one cable set works and the other doesn't, try swapping them. This will tell you whether or not you have a cabling issue.

Let us know what you find.

We have an older vcr/dvd player in our MH. When I play a dvd I have to push a button on the player to switch to dvd. It defaults to vcr if I recall correctly. Good luck.

Oh, BYW if it's just connected with the coax cable to your tv you may have to be on channel 3 or 4.
