If you have a 2006 then you know about the Big 3 repairs that need to be checked.

Big 3= Roof rails, wet bay floor, and DS slide floor.

Rekfish-are you by chance trading with Lazy Days on your 06? I'm looking at an 06 40QDH coming in on trade? Can someone point me to a better explanation of this "Big3" before I sign on the line?

I am not trading with lazyday, tiffin said the 2006 QDH did not have a rail problem. The drive slide bottom was good and the wet bay they replaced the floor. The fridge had already been fixed for the recall.

Your correct......I had an 06 Phaeton 36DH for a few years with none of the " big 3 " problems. We traded it ( at Lazydays ) for an 09 Phaeton 40 QTH. two + years ago....and have had 2 of the big 3 problems corrected so far. My DS slide floor has been checked 2X at CRB and it seems to be fine SO FAR. It will probably fail when its on my dime

I have an '11 42QBH, and have had the slide floor replaced as well as the roof rails. If the unit you are looking at has not already been done, it is a fact of life that it will need to be. Tiffin will pay for the repairs but you will need to be at Red Bay to have the work completed. From check in time to leaving figure at LEAST a week for each repair. Mostly due to scheduling issues. The wet bay should not be an issue for you as it was corrected in the 2010 model year. Love my Phaeton, but there is always something to fix on it, but with that said this is true for ALL Motorhomes. This lifestyle is not for the faint of heart as my wife likes to remind me.

There is a lot written on "The big Three" on forums. All you have to do is search the topic.

I think we are going to stay with our 2006 for now! Loose to much space in the living room area for the rear bath. Thanks for all the information!!
