Howdy All. So my Schlage deadbolt broke. The actuating rod broke off of the cylinder. It is a 1.25 inch diameter cylinder. I searched in Ace and Lowes so far with no luck. Anyone know where they can be found?

I believe you would be referring to the tail piece that is long flat and goes through the bolt mechanism and into the back side of the thumb turn onThe inside. This part can be found at a locksmith.
So the deadbolt cylinder is barely 1.25 in diameter. I did fine a new one (not Schlage). Had to bore out the hole in the door panel (outside). It's fixed.
