2012 Tiffin 40QBH, Where is the Key FOB activation device
Hello,
Where specifically is the device that key fob must be near to activate it for use.
I was told by someone it is in the first compartment on drivers side. I fail to see anything that is obvious to do this. TIFFIN, there must be a better way, come on.
Thank you
Jerry

Yep, against the forward bulkhead at the top of the compartment in both the 2013 Bus and our former 2008 bus. There's a short, black, single conductor wire with it that is the antenna.

Usually the tech installing the antenna leaves it bundled up and fastened to the frame rail. That’s how I found mine in the Phaeton we had. I straightened it out and ran is along the basement ceiling. Key fob worked from a pretty good distance after that

On our 2014 QBH, the first door on the passenger side is propane and hydraulics. Second door is where the receiver for the key fob is. Lay on your back and look up to see it.
It is likely in the same spot on your 2012.
Regards.
Chuck

I see only wiring, no object that resembles a antenna, ect.
I am sorry, I am sure you all are correct, can you perhaps send a photo or tell me what this thing is called so I may get a online description. I just don't see it.
Thank you, I should have hidden my payment check for the motor home as well as this is hidden.

You’ll see the black wire / antenna on the left side of the photo. Make sure the antenna is extended like the pervious post stated.

Once you find it, find the manual online. For our model, you can add a key fob using the grap handle. Just need the authorization code, hand written on the front of the module.
None of our fobs or the grab handle worked, so I had to reboot the module. Not hard, and the manual had great step by step instructions.

Fob activation module location
I think Tiffin needs to sell a FOB Activation Module Detector, as I have looked in the first cabinet on driver and passenger sides, in the TV cabinet, but I could not get the TV out so as to see behind it.
A Motorhome that sold for $285000 new should come with ALL ELECTRICAL DOCUMENTATION, DRAWINGS AND MANUALS AND LOCATIONS PROVIDED AS WELL AS ALL PART NUMBERS OF THE NUMEROUS RELAYS AND SOLENOIDS ON THE MH.
This is not life or death, but it is irritating, as I have spent time and effort to make my FOB work after buying the thing.
Thank you for assisting me.

Jerry,
From your reply, it sounds like you are looking in the cabinets inside your coach. The receiver is in the storage bay outside your coach. Go outside the coach and open the second door on the passenger side. Lay on your back, wiggle into the storage bay, and look up at the top of the storage bay. You should see the thing that was pictured in a previous post. That's where it is on my 2014 QBH. I expect it is likely in the same spot on your model.
Regards.
Chuck

I hate to bring this up, but have you considered calling the service department at Tiffin to ask? Make sure you ask to talk to someone who was around when your coach was built.
They're pretty friendly, in my experience.
