2013 Tiffin Breeze Inverter
My Inverter located above the drivers seat was turned on before I left on a trip. My interior electrical outlets, unfortunately, are not working while in motion. What am I doing wrong or what to I need to check?

The invertors are most likely only hooked to the TV outlets so you can watch a movie while driving. What size watts rating is it. It would have to be at least 2000watts to supply 110v to all outlets and I bet they only installed 1 or 2 450watt invertors like mine and they make so much noise you dont want to use them. They only wired them to the front and rear TVs and dvd player. Also in order to watch TV even when plugged into shore power or running the gene you still have to turn on the invertors to power up the TVs. which is just wrong, but a cheaper way to do it.

Tiffin Inverter
My TV and electrical outlets worked previously when moving. When I left for this trip, however, they would not work. I am interested in someone's opinion what might be causing the problem. I don't have to use the inverter when on shore power. Everything works fine on shore power. I would like outlets and TV working on the move.

what size is the invertor? and is it hard wired into the 110 system. Our Tiffan is not and has 2 small 450 watt inverters that have 2 outlets on each and the power cords from the TVs are plugged into the invertors, so we can just unplug them and plug em into the outlet near by when hooked up to shore power or Gene.

They must have made some changes. My new model Breeze 32 , which while it is about 6 weeks old, has not been out yet for travelling. However I have the single inverter/charger (placed in PS front bay) on charge only (not providing any 110 power to any outlets) , however and when hooked up to shore power or exercising the genny, the TV in front and mid section have power. I do not know about the other TV's. I was under the impression that the inverter only sent power to the TV outlets, but if it was in the charge only mode, it makes no sense that at least 2 tv's wer powered by shore/genny power. When I cut the power the TV's went off. Oh, they now put a single 750 watt inverter charger as standard equipment. If I tried to logic this out, I would think that the TV outlets are powered by both the inverter and 110 genny or shore power when available.

sorry, did not answer yoiur question. Clearly something is amiss if they worked and do not now. You'll really just have to troubleshoot, starting with the inverter manual then moving to fuses and possibly a loose wire. It sounds like whatever your problem is in somewhere in the line from the batteries to the inverter and then something maybe where the wires leave the inverter. While a PITA, you can do lots of it with a multimeter checking to see if you have good voltage going into the inverter and good voltage coming out. It really should no be too hard to locate the issue, particularly if you have access to the wiring going into and out of the inverter. BE CAREFUL!! If it is live coming out you are dealing with 110 Volts.

I replaced the two 450 watt inverters (with noisy fans) with a single super efficient Morningstar SureSine inverter. No fan, no noise, way more efficient.
I realize it has been a while since this thread was started but the inverters run of the house batteries. I am wondering if his batteries were run down and that is why the inverters had dropped off line. They need to be turned off and then back on to reset them (low voltage cutout).

Scott, I have the same rig as you, but without PV solar. Is the Morningstar SureSign for PV systems only? Mark
