Question 2014 Allegro Open Road 31SA I just bought

I just bought an 2014 Allegro open road 31SA.

Any thoughts on what I should look for in the inspection before I bring it home?

Is a Good Sam extended warranty necessary?

Check the windshield washer and wipers and the day/night shades for the windshield. I have issues with both of these. Another issue I had was the wiring placement for the bedroom slide. Mine was run across under the bed and eventually it pulled loose and would not work. Check all of the drawers for proper operation. I had several that would not work right due to no screws being put in the drawer guides. Have the dealer turn the refrigerator on and check for the ice maker making ice. Do not let them rush you. We was in a rush ourselves, so we let them. Turn everything on and off and open/close everything that you can.

I would not buy the extended warranty. One of the good things about Tiffin is they will take care of an issue past warranty if it is their problem. But it will have to be brought in to CRB.

CRB stands for "Camp Red Bay". This is Tiffin's service center located in Red Bay, Alabama where they are made at.

I believe Ed is asking what your paperwork in the bedroom closet shows your CCC to be. CCC stands for "Cargo Carrying Capacity".

Question question

In the floor plan book a small table is placed in front of the L shaped couch. I don't have one in mine.

When you bought your 31SA Did a small table in front of your L shaped couch come with your coach?

Look under the bed. The 36LA comes with one also and mine was buried under other items beneath the bed.

Yes, Cargo Carring Capacity is what I met. In addition to the one that is usually in the bedroom closest, there should be a Yellow DOT sticker with weight information around the driver's door somewhere or coach door behind the nondriver's seat. I have seen cases where the two stickers do not agree.

Congratulations on buying a Tiffin and welcome to the Tiffin Family.

As others have said make sure that you check everything out before you leave the dealer's lot. Just because it is listed on the invoice doesn't mean it is there. Ours was missing the Tru-Center steering and the heat pump for the front AC unit. We also found the electric side of the hot water heater wasn't working due to it not being plugged in at the water heater. A few have found that the ice maker doesn't work but that is usually due to the water valve being turned off.

You don't need to buy an extended warranty when you buy the coach due to everything will be covered under it's own warranty for at least the first year. Tiffin does have the reputation of standing behind their coaches even after the normal warranty has expired but you might have to take it back to their factory at Red Bay, AL. (CRB)

Check out the Tiffin RV Network for all the information you need.
