2015 Allegro 37AP-Go or No?

Hello Everyone, newer member here! We currently own a 2007 Allegro Open Road and looking to upgrade. Seriously considering the 37AP bus however reading some negative reviews re: problematic slides, awning etc.
I REALLY love this floor plan, but do not want to spend this kind of money on something that has inherent issues We understand that no motorhome is perfect, but as we plan on being FT, recurrent slide issues in particular would be a PIA.
Any advice welcome. Sorry if I'm not posting in the right spot...
TIA!

Probably a Phaeton would be just as good and a little less expensive. Dave

We upgraded from a class C to a 2014 37AP and we love it. Knock on wood, we haven't had any issues that you mention. Davis motorhomes in Memphis was wonderful to work with finding us just the right one.

The slide problems are probably the rear bedroom slides you read about. They are Schwintek slides. We had a 2014 Phaeton with them and never a problem. On our 2018 Bus, we had to have one side replaced the first year.

We have 2016 37AP with no major issues since the Engine fan gear box was finally replaced properly, fan mount & etc... Bad repair by Lazy Days, wouldn’t use them again if I can avoid it! We love it except for the tv remotes!

Check AquaHot filter location

I have a 2017 37AP and generally love it. Great floor plan, easiest coach to drive, rides nice, great features. I recently began the AquaHot annual service which includes replacing the spin on fuel filter. Mine is located behind and above the AquaHot unit in the basement cabinet. I have to remove the expansion tank and control panel (very tight in cabinet) and reach 2 to 3 feet into the cabinet to touch the filter. Definitely a BAD design for something needing annual replacement. This might not be an issue for you.
