2015 Phaeton 36GH

I’m seriously considering a 2015 Phaeton 36GH.
Are there any inherent issues/problems that I should be aware of with this year and model coach. I’m not a newbie to RVing or diesel coaches, but any information/advice is appreciated.
Thank you,
CCRider

I had a 2013 Phaeton 36GH and generally was a great coach. The only problem that I can recall you may want to inspect is that if the floorplan is still the same, the rear slide on the drivers side sat up higher than the others. This made the cutout for the slide more in the middle of the wall. After about 3 years of ownership, a small crack developed in the lower left corner of the slide wall cutout. Tiffin paid for the repair and handled it under warranty. Other than that, some of the other issues were just with vendor supplied parts, and most were all within the first year of ownership.

we had a 2016 36gh and was a great coach, no real problems after the first year.

We had a '14 that was a great coach. The only weak points I can think of are the CAT5 TV signal distribution system (splitters go bad) and the Whirlpool refrigerator drain/evaporator system (easy fix with a $30 kit).

As with any diesel, have the coolant checked for SCA levels and maintenance. I just bought a 2015 Phaeton, the original HD 360 TV antenna is likely or will be a problem. I just replaced mine.

We have a 2016 Phaeton 36gh. The only recurring problem we have is with bad splitters. Get a couple of extras for when you're on the road. Otherwise it's a great coach.

While this won't leave you on the side of the road, you may want to check the over-the-air TV antenna. Sometime around that model year, Tiffin stopped using the TripleVision rotating (directional) TV antenna for a fixed omni-directional TV antenna. The older rotating antenna was prone to taking on rain water, and would lock up.

2015 Phaeton

I would like to thank everyone who responded to my Phaeton enquire. It sounds like the Phaeton is a pretty solid & reliable coach. Now my task is to locate the coach that will work for me.
Again thanks,
CCRider
