We’re looking at the subject RV later today 32BR. Does anyone have any advice/reviews on this RV? Good or not so Good. How does it Tow? Inverter problems/solutions. Maxforce Diesel problems You’re insight would be greatly appreciated.

Not an apples for apples comparison but we just bought a 2011 28br breeze and LOVE it. Tiffin quality sold us

We bought a 2015 28BR this past June. Needed a lot of work. The previous owner burned up the roof ACs and several other critical items. Finally got everything back to top running condition just before a September trip to Florida. It was a lot of work and I am very glad I bought the extended warranty, especially as it was a bargain price. The dealer also put about $5,000 into it. Despite all that, we love the unit. I've been driving diesels all my life and have a bud that owns a shop that specializes in Ford IH engine work. He also has done some work on my Dodge Cummins. I like the Navistar 6.4, aka MaxxForce 7. Just keep the fluids clean, change fuel and air filters regularly and it will run great. I use only synthetic oil in both the engine and generator. Ours is extremely responsive, has plenty to push this rig down the road so that we don't even notice our Jeep toad behind.

I greatly enjoy doing the routine maintenance. Everything is fairly accessible.

Make sure whoever you are buying from gives you a thorough introduction to the unit. My dealer, LazyDays, did about a two hour walk through of entirely only the coach and nothing on the chassis. That I'm still learning. Luckily, I've got my bud and very good International outfit within 15 miles of our place who is willing to coach me through most of it.

I think Taz4570 gave you some good reasons to not buy the 2015 Breeze. I have my gas unit front end alignments done at a authorized International garage and I ask them about Maxxforce engines and their only comment was that they hated seeing one come in for service. Dave

Search on "Breeze" for what info is here. Also search on the MaxForce engine. Difference between pre2010 and post (emissions design constraints).

Pricing seems higher than I would have expected, but there is asking and then the reality of what the new buyer pays. Also a lot of the available coaches are low miles and that holds the value up.

Check to see when the IFS was included in the design. (2014?)

Ask the current owner about performance on grades towing a toad. It was my understanding that the coach was challenged, but maybe that is internet hearsay.

We looked at and researched the Breeze and the main thing I noticed was that most all of the people that have bad things to say about them on these forums have never owned one! I consider these types of comments as “uninformed opinion”. Seek out some current owners. When we talk to people that own them every single one said that they loved theirs.

I also think that they are the best looking small Class A ever.

Correct on all counts. I own a 2011 Breeze 28BR, purchased new, and love it.

Owned a 2015 Breeze 32BR and had serious problems with the Maxxforce 7 emissions system. We put ~17k miles on it and never went more than 700 to 800 miles on it without the check engine light illuminating (always emissions related) and significant black smoke from the tailpipe. Took the coach to three different International dealers with the last repair replacing the DPF and the EGR valve. That fix only lasted 220 miles before again receiving another check engine light and black smoke from the tailpipe. At that point I gave up and traded the coach. Other than than the emissions system issue we liked the coach and felt it performed adequately (would have liked more power but it was adequate). Just our experience with the 2015 Breeze, others have reported a better ownership experience.

Looked at the Breeze when we were last buying, but decided to go with the Cummins/Allison drivetrain, since that is what is being used in the masses of diesel RV's today. Figured the maintenance/repair would be easier to have done, if anything was ever needed. I think it's important to have parts in the supply chains, and skilled labor readily accessible.

OP - you looked at the Breeze on the 12th. What was your take on what you saw? Did you do a test drive and what were your impressions?

Please, post a follow-up. There is not much info posted on these coaches and they fit a very interesting market niche. Bigger than a the "Sprinter C's" and smaller than the monster "A's". It looks like a nice coach for a couple who wants to travel with a little more room. Is it?

Your opinion/impression is appreciated.

I too would like to hear about their look.

We love ours. And despite what was said above, I was giving very good reasons to look closely at any rig. We did and knew what we were getting into, which is why we made the deal we did. it was clear that the first owner knew how to take care on the mechanical side, but didn't do quite as well with the coach electrical side. Look closely before you buy, make the deal based on what is needed, and enjoy the rig.
