Not sure if your mechanism is same ..... exposed brass contacts on jamb or door can retract or loosen with time travel / bumps, enough to lose contact. Door & jamb contacts are spring loaded, need to make positive contact. Examine (usually 4 brass contacts) to see if all are about equal distance projecting out from jamb or door.
If not, try unscrewing the contact holder (2 small screws in holder, frame & or door side); don't let anything fall back inside into opening. The holder is attached to wiring; check if wiring good in place. One brass plunger may have loosened & retracted. Adjust to protrude a little further out; has two small nuts on the wiring side, to fix protruding distance. All 4 brass buttons should look the same when holder is reinstalled.
When remote FOB door lock does not work, usually have to do this once in a while (also check FOB battery is good). The contacts come loose & retract with travel bumps, etc. Do not over tighten.
