2016 Tiffin Phaeton 44OH Water Filter
So, you'd think something like this would be easy, but I looked through manuals I have but couldn't find Part Number for the water filter for my MH (see attached pics). So, I pulled it and ironically the only identifier on it was made in China. I was going to contact tiffin parts since I saw nothing on their parts website but got me thinking of my Winnebago DP a few years ago. Found the OEM water filter was very restricted, so much so, I investigated what would fit and bought the one with a higher GPM rate. I'm not saying Tiffin would have the same problem, but it could so I'm asking for those with the same year what do you use? When we bought it last year the dealer did all that for me, so I don't have the information. Anyway, looks like a Charcoal filter. Thxs

Any standard filter will work. I order them on Amazon or buy them at Home Depot. The finer 0.5 micron filters can restrict flow too much.

Any 2.5"x10" filter cartridge will work. You can choose filter specifics; e.g. 0.5u or 1.5u; charcoal, etc. I have used Watts filters purchased on Amazon or water filter store. Flow rate rating will generally vary by filter size. I am currently using a 1.0u filter in the canister and a Camco blue sediment filter at water spigot. I like the Watts 0.5u filter but it does not last very long and does restrict flow rate.

thanks, I was thinking of just measuring the filter that was in there. I see it's about 2.5" wide by 9.75" long but it was the micron size that was good info. Perhaps I could find one at HD.

The 1.0u cartridge works well for us - I think the flow rate is ok for showers. We do get more water flow when using water pump vs city water.

We use the 1 micron ones from Amazon. Agreed, you do have to replace them pretty frequently, if you aren't using the MH constantly.

Keep in mind only the cold from the tank is filtered, after it comes out. The hot isn't. Not sure about the city water since we never use that portion.

Ok this is where I get confused some since it seems different manufacturers and different models do things differently. So what your saying is MY 44OH only uses that filter when we take water from the fresh water tank only? It doesn't filter the CG/city water nor the hot water if I'm using CG/city water ? Though if it doesn't water from the tank only I would imagine that it does filter hot water indirectly if we are using only tank water?
BTW the reason I'm saying CG/City water is some CGs up in NE use on-site well water based on their location. ,

Tiffin MHs only use the filter for the cold water, both from the tank and city water. Hot water is NOT filtered.
We not only use the in-house filter I mentioned previously but also use a Camco high flow filter on the campground water bib.

What garykk stated. Hot water is not filtered in a Tiffin MH. I just didn't know how city water was plumbed, since we never use it. So, all cold water is filtered, but no hot water.

Standard 10” water filter works. We use the anti virus .2 filter from Clearsource and then Zero water pitcher in frig if water good enough to drink. If not we use bottled water to drink.
