2017 32 SA Dash non switched power/ Kenwood
As others have noted the Kenwood Radio/ GPS has an unreliable power source. Overstretched, kinked, or compression of the stock wiring harness seems to be the issue. I have destressed the radio power hot lead without correcting the issue.
Option 1 find a non-switched power source in the dash wire harness. Option 2 run 12 v fused non switched power source to the radio toggle switch from the battery.
Can anyone suggest a 12 v non switched power source in the dash to tap into for an alternate radio power source?
Thank You

Haven't had any issues with my 2015 32SA.
What is the symptoms? Is the fuse blowing?
Mine is fed from a 10 amp fuse in the front most DS bay. The fans and map lights are on that same circuit.
There are two twenty amp fuses one for 12v outlet#1, another Outlet#2 plus CB. I would assume these are the circuits for the USB and 12v plug. These circuits may be more robust and should be easy to tap into.

dssl thanks for the reply. The power is intermittent, a common Tiffin radio wire harness issue. I have never blown a fuse. Sometimes the radio will come back to life when manipulating the harness inside the dash through the access port.
I will look at those other sources you mention for an alternative power source. Additionally, I plan to install a fuse block as a hub for power and fuse protection. Fuse blocks from Blue sea and Centec are good products

Never had that problem. When that happens do your fans work? Connectors are much more likely to have problems then wires.
Not sure what you want to use the fuse block for, seems like you already have a fuse panel that distributes the 12v powers. Are you looking to add some more 12v devices?

I had the same exact issue. It would go in and out going down the road when I encounter bumps and potholes. Anyway, the issue was a loose black connection plug in the back of the radio. Just unplug it and add couple pieces of tape or a small wedge of some sort to apply pressure to the connection so it doesn't come loose. Mine been working for over 5 k miles after the fix. Pulling the wires to remove strain is also a good idea.

I had the exact same problem. Tiffin did not allow enough slack in the wiring harness and it was pulling too tight. Also, I couldn't free up any slack in the cables under the dash.
I orderd an OEM replacement Kenwood plug/wiring harness and pigtail directly from Kenwood for about $15. It was longer than the remaining radio harness left by Tiffin. I cut the wires to the existing Kenwood x Tiffin plug (big white plug) and spliced in the new harness with crimp-ons which gave me about twice as much slack. That did the trick....hasnt happened again in two years and 10,000 miles.

Your model may have a different harness.

Thanks for the help. Yesterday I lengthened the power and ground wires of the radio harness to the radio without result. Next, I disconnected the harness to the toggle switch. 2 DC wires to the switch are non switched power from the chassis battery with 12 + voltage, 2 AC wires to the switch did not render voltage with the key on or off. Radio 10 a fuse intact.
After connecting the toggle switch harness the radio worked ! Well that lasted 5 minutes.
My plan is to order a new toggle/rocker switch to see if this was the problem..
To be continued.

You might check also to see if the contact surface(s) inside the plug housing on the harness have not become dislodged from being under tension. I found this to be the case also but ended up replacing the plug/harness. Good call on the rocker switch.

Update the same failure. Time to follow the advise of StarRVGazer and order a new Kenwood wiring harness.
