Hello all,
I am trying find out what type of slide toppers that I have installed on my new acquired 2018 Tiffin Phaeton 40 IH. I have looked all over for any markings and I have not been able to find any information regarding the maker of the slide toppers. I have one slide topper that is sagging and need to check on options for tension and repair. I have attached a few pictures. I even called Tiffin and they told me that they were Giard slide toppers. I called Giard and they said that theirs has a different shape on the end caps. Closest I can tell is that they are Dometic, I have a call into them for help too.

We have Girard on our bus and they don’t look like that, ours are more square on the ends and they have the name Girard on them.

They may be Carefree. Tiffin was installing that brand until they switched to Girard some time in mid year. Ours have the Carefree toppers and the ends look very much like that.

Just for info, you may be able to tighten the toppers up some but you will never get all of the sag out of the larger ones. With the flex of the longer rollers, there will always be a sag in the middle that will catch water. After a rain, just bring the living area slides in a little at a time to let the water drain off. It's just the nature of the longer slide toppers.
