2019 Bus Door Key Pad
It's lit at night and very nice.
During the day you can't see back lighting
Is it sunburnt or a setting somewhere?

Waiting patiently for some response. We have seen this before on a 2020 and he said you could replace the faded pad? Picking up our new to us 2019 40IP Bus in a few days and thinking it’s common!

I used this on the keypad. It helps with fading but no so much for seeing backlighting during the day
On Amazon: CERAKOTE® Ceramic Trim Coat Kit - Quick Plastic Trim Restorer
I also used the headlight restorer and it was easy and worked well.

Once you get it working, you can protect it with this.

Beats having to replace the outside pad every 3 years.
I had to replace it on my 2022 40IP. The sun had degraded the weather seal and water got into the keypad. It was 2 years old at the time and both Tiffin and Spyder said "too bad". Tiffin said it is a known issue with the seal. Spyder said Tiffin over tightened it. After a lot of effort, Tiffin sold us one at their cost. It was still over $300.

I paid about 1/2 that for my Phaeton cover.

How do you remove the keypad. Is it siliconed in?
Also can you just replace the sunburnt cover? The whole keypad is over $600

Normally accessed from inside the PS console. On my coach, I can pop the touchpad inside the door for access to the keypad nuts.

Mine 9/0 key stopped working when the sun beat down on it and then was ok after it cooled down. I think that the cover is probably a good idea.
