I am trying to find out what exactly the Electric Management System provides in the current 40IP? I looked in the Chassis and Owners manuals and could not find any specific info... I purchased the Hughes Autoformer Watchdog EPO and was wondering what the on-board Tiffin EMS protects and how to reset it if needed? My new rig is finally being delivered "hopefully" this week to Sherman RV Center. (They were back ordered on the hide abed sofa... ugh.)

If you are talking about a surge protector then I use a Progressive portable 50 amp version. Yes there is an on board built in protector but it is good for small hits and it was recommended that I use another version inline before power makes its way to the coach. With all the electronics in these things I wanted to take no chances and I already had this unit so it goes everywhere.

The on board EMS is totally controlled through the Spyder system. Your watchdog will act as a first line of defense as it's better to lose it instead of your transfer switch, which is where that EMS is located.
