Well yes, but the main point is they now have a roof mount option.

I've had two coaches with Girard awnings, they've both been roof mounted. All the ones I've seen have been roof mounted.

Girard also makes side mounted awnings. This is the first year for the Phaeton model to offer roof mounted awnings which have been standard on the Bus and Zephyr for years.

Our roof mounted Girard leaked on the first trip out. The mounts are bolted through the roof and the only thing between the mount and the roof is that thin rubber gasket Tiffin uses. Very poor setup. I had water dripping out of the ceiling center wood trim. Fortunately I was able to trace it to the mounting pad on the awning. Took two of us a while to remove and lift that thing, very heavy and flexible.

A peek? Do you mean a simple photo of it? If so, why don't you just post it?
And, it being a $9,425.00 option, does anyone think it's worth that much compared to the standard awning?

Nsail, when your up in the quarter million dollar bracket another 9 grand for an awning is a no burger,,,, for some . :>)

9400 bucks would probably add 5000 bucks to the bottom line. Still not cheap but the aesthetics alone are worth it to me, plus they are far superior awnings to the standard awning.

Like to see a photo. Wonder how they blended it in, with the roof fairings like the buses? Probably why the big $$ option, the front and rear caps also have to changed out too.

I was asked not to do so, if you notice on Tiffins website the only model with no info on 2021's are the Phaetons. I was told Tiffin didn't want imagery out before 2020 inventories where depleted.
IMO its well worth the additional cost, they become usable awnings and well improve the appearance of the coach. Was a main reason I ordered a new unit rather than buy off the lot.

I'm very close to buying a 2020 Phaeton 37BH. Are there other reasons you're ordering a 2021 rather than buying off a lot? Should I reconsider?
