2021 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 32SA roof air conditioner

Who makes the roof A/C for this model? Any insight as to cleaning the evaporator and condenser coils.

First off, Welcome to IRV2!

You should have a data sheet with all of the makes, model numbers and serial numbers for all of your appliances. With that said, more than likely it will be Coleman AirXcel Mach 8 Plus air conditioners unless Tiffin has changed recently.

Any mild soap will work. Just need to be sure it is safe on aluminium. There are special AC coil sprays, but I've never bothered to use them since regular soap works well. Spray on, let it sit for 10-30 minutes and rinse off - with a gentle spray.

Be sure the power is off at the breaker first, and make sure your water spray can't get into the area that is open to the inside.

You could use a soft brush, but need to be sure you don't bend the fins. They sell combs to straighten fins if they got messed up.

To clean the evaporator and condenser coils, you will have to go up top and remove the cover from the A/C unit. To get to the evaporator, you also must remove an additional cover. There are plenty of videos online to show you how to complete this chore.

Haven't done mine yet, but ...

I purchased some SIMPLE GREEN EXTREME that claims to be for aluminum. I plan to use this on my engine radiator first, then on the ACs.
