2022 Bus 45OPP info

We have the chance to pick up a 22 Bus 45 OPP. We would appreciate any input that can be given. We are familiar with Entegra and Newmar coaches but have no experience with Tiffin products.

When I compared our 2013 Bus to my sons 2015 Mountain Aire AC cooling efficiency and cabin noise, the Newmar was superior in both areas. Unless they have changed, the Newmar and Entegra are both quieter and easier to heat and cool than the Tiffin Bus. That is due to the type of ceiling insulation and hung wall design. We loved our Bus for 9 years and was always happy with Tiffins support and service. If in the later models, Tiffin has done a better job of insulating the cap from heat radiating in and better floor insulation to deaden road noise, you would be very happy with the 45 OPP.

We are very happy with our 45OPP. It is our 10th RV , our second Allegro Bus and we consider it the best of the coaches that we have had. The previous coaches include Newmar Mountain Aires, Monaco Windsor and Dynasties. The powerglide chassis is awesome , especially with the swivel tag axle. Cargo carrying capacity is 10,000lbs. for our coach . Storage is vast. MPG is good. Power is more than adequate. Aquahot, floor heat, heat pumps, electric fireplace keeps us warm in 12 degree weather. Floorplan is one of the best around for full timing. Hope that you enjoy yours as much as we do ours. Our 2014 Bus only had 3 layers of radiant barrier in the front cap. I redid the insulation with about 8 Batts of rockwool. HUGE difference. Rockwool has a lot of great attributes over the pink stuff.

I wish they would use it for all insulating. The new ACs are a lot quieter than the old ones.

Can you explain how you redid the insulation in the front cap? We are going to have the front TV removed in our 2014 45LP Bus and want to add insulation when this is done.
