2022 Phaeton 12V Aux Outlet (cigarette)

My auxiliary outlet has power but nothing works in it, so I’m assuming it’s bad. The other problem is, I don’t know how to remove the outlet. Can anyone tell me how to remove the outlet.

I had a similar issue with a dash mounted cigarette lighter .

Are you testing with a volt meter or a 12 volt test light ( bulb not LED ).

My socket the fuse was blown and the power ( on my voltmeter ) was a cross feed from a roof mounted 8 watt solar panel ; enough power to show voltage , BUT , not enough to power anything .

Look for a blown fuse.

Most of those 12v accessory outlets have a shell or nut that secures it from the back side. Here is a photo of a similar one showing the nut on the back side.
