33A RED kitchen sink slow draining

Our kitchen sink is very very slow in draining..... it does not have a regular trap. It has a white "sleeve" that apparently takes the place of the trap. It is slower than heck...... so I think my options may be to take out the sleeve and put in a regular trap... but then a lose space under the sink. It also has a cheater valve in the back to take the place of a vent.. so the question is ..... is the sleeve the problem with the slow drain? or is it the cheater valve?

That sleeve is a HEPVO valve that has a membrane in it to prevent odors from coming back. They do get clogged with grease, etc some times so try running some commercial drain cleaner through it. According to the company, caustic based drain cleaners are safe to use and acid based up to 10% concentration. A HEPVO valve does not require an AAV valve for air behind water, so it shouldn't affect the drain one way or the other. Here is a manufacturer's page on maintenance of the valve: https://hepvo.com/installation-maintenance/

Did the drain flow just get slow or was it always? If it just became slow clean as Lt. Dan suggested, if it has been slow since getting the coach it may be the same problem we had. When we first got our 33 the drain seemed slow and after being "repaired" twice by the dealer they stated it was the nature of the beast and all slide sinks were slow due to the flexible drain hose. When we went to Red Bay several months later we put the slow drain on our list. The techs there removed the outside TV and back of the metal box to expose the piping. They found that the pipes were perfectly plumb and level, without downward slope. They cut and shortened the horizontal pipe that put a slope toward the rear of the slide out which made the draining about 90% better.

Thanks folks.... this has been slow since we purchased new. Dealer has said the same thing. it is what it is. All of these slide drain slow.... so now I will try the maintenance first and if that doesn't work when it gets warmer ( we are in Canada at -3) I will take the TV out and see what I can do.

Thanks again.
