45LP Slide Issues

We started looking at the Winnebago Tour as we like that floor plan immensely, but soon found too many issues with the Schwintek slides. We discovered the Tiffin 45LP model that has that same great layout. But I understand that these also use the Schwintek slide mechanisms on some of the slides, I did a search and see that the 37 and 40 have some issues, didn't see many on the 45LP, so my question is this a problem on the 45LP?

Where looking at 2014-2016 model years. Any 45LP owners want to chime in?

I don't have a 45LP, but Tiffin only uses the Schwintek slide mechanisms on the lighter slides such as the bedroom and vanity. The front, heavier slides are either hydraulic or gear driven depending on the model and year. A lot of the issues I have read about with the Schwinteks are due to operator error in not allowing the motors to synchronize properly at each cycle. With 24,000 miles on two different Tiffin coaches I have never had an issue with them.

Ditto. 20K miles. Bedroom schwintek slide. Never a problem. Must remember to hold the open/close switch for approx. 3-5 seconds after slide has stopped moving. Keeps the motors synced. I bought my 36LA used. After about 10K miles I found a women's slipper sticking out from under the bed. I have always wondered how she lost it and how much time she spent looking for it. LOL

Our Phaeton had two Schwintek slides, 30k miles when sold and not a problem.
They do require some maintenance., lubricating rollers etc once in awhile.
