A/C Fan speed cycling low to high

Recently our front A/C fan has begun cycling from low to high and back to low every few minutes. The unit is blowing cold on both speeds and other than the cycling appears to be operating properly.

I have re-crimped the thermistor butt connectors with no change. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

Make and model would get you more responses, and generally a better answer.

Have you tried a reset of the Spyder system?
What does the fan do when set to either high or low, assuming you now have the fan set to auto.

Garykk, thanks. Just prior to shutting down the coach for the next several weeks I did a reset of the Spyder which had no effect. I wish I had thought of your suggestion of setting the fan to either low or high instead of just auto before disconnecting the 50 amp and moving it to it's parking spot. It may have answered some questions. Unfortunately it will have to wait until we use it again in a few weeks.

My gremlins

My rear AC, when set to Auto, the fan will run on low with the compressor not running even when the set temp is met.

This happens every so often and I can turn it off and back on and it operates normally again.

It doesn't bother me enough to troubleshoot but this is one thing I learned when traveling in the middle of summer in FL.

After I setup camp I set all 3 AC's to High. The rear is working hard anyway, due to the extra 10 degrees or so from the radiant motor heat, it takes the longest, but since the whole system is connected I would rather the others helping out with the airflow. Then, once everything settles down I switch to Auto.

Short cycling can also be indicative of dirty filters and an overheating A/C. How are those doing?

Good luck
