AC Cooling fan Allegro Bus

Anyone know where the fuse might be for the cooling fan under the chassis that cools the condenser? The fan is not coming on, but will work with voltage applied. I figure it may be a fuse. I have found the fuses behind the dash, but did not see any that were labeled for this fan. It should come on with the compressor. I have the 99 electrical schematic but cannot find where a possible fuse is. I feel this is why it cools going down the road, but not when idleing.

My 2000 Allegro Bus has a large electrical contact panel Drivers side next to the generator. Also just to check does you dash blower work on all speeds or just on max? If so you may have a bad switch if the switch is OK there probably is a second fuse that handles that fan and it may be a relay from the AC switch to energize the fan hot wire. Richard goodluck

There should also be a relay in the circuit to control the fan as well as a pressure switch. The condenser fan activates when the compressor head pressure builds to a certain point. One option would be to wire a relay connected to a switch so you could manually turn the condenser fans on and off.

Well I found the fuse to the Condenser Fan on my 2000 Allegro Bus. It is a isolated 4 fuse block attached to the outside of the fire wall centered above the generator or below the center of the windshield. I did find that there should be a relay from the fuse block to the fan. That is according to my schematic from Tiffin. There is a relay within 6 inches of the fuse. The fuse is supposed to be 20 amps. Just from experience the wire appears to be at least 12 ga.,if not more, which I think would be ample to run that fan. The wires all disappear into wire looms and I just was not into that much work. We are on our 13 or 14th day of plus 100 degree heat with 65 to 70% humidity. I live down here cause I hate the cold so I don't have the right to complain. We live on the river and that's where I will be in a few minutes. Me my intertube and a box of cold ones. Good Luck Richard

That is some excellent wire tracing. The good news is that hot-wiring that fan to run continuously isn't likely to hurt anything. At least that way you can have air conditioning.
