AC not working

We are in the Black Hills and found that our #2 AC is not working. The breaker is fine but it does not start up. Is there anything else that I can check? Thanks.

Check the thermostat - does it have good incoming 12 volt?

Starting capacitor (probably) or compressor is bad.

What a coincidence, we too are in the Black Hills and our #2 AC started just humming and no air flow. Had a mobile tech come check it and it is the compressor. Got lucky and Camping World had my exact model with the circuit board necessary to keep my 5 button thermostats. Had ordered it for someone else and it was the wrong one. Getting it installed tomorrow afternoon or Sunday morning by the mobile guy.

Hi Randy,
Ours is working now and I don't know why. Our last motorhome was the exact sister ship to your Navigator. Although I can manage 45 mph on these hills, I miss the ISX 525 of the Navigator. We are in Hill City until Tuesday and then head home. These Black Hills are unbelievably georgous..

Check the capacitor, but be aware that these units do fail. I just had to replace my #2 on my 2007 coach that was only blowing room temp air.

We're at Hart Ranch and they installed the new AC today. Life is back to normal now . Glad yours is working too. You're right, love the 525 everywhere we go.

If it starts acting up again, I'd suspect the start capacitor. Pretty easy to change yourself if you're comfortable on the roof and a little electrical.

Swap a known good thermostat, with the system that isn't working. That will definitively prove that the thermostat is either good or bad. If good, will point the finger at the roof unit.
