Accessing stereo speakers in 2006 Phaeton

There has to be something simple I'm missing here and I can't be the first to want to swap out the crappy speakers that Tiffin installed back in 2006 with the Jensen head unit. The QTH has cloth covered speaker enclosures built into the cabinetry over the driver and passenger seats plus another over the dinette. There are also surface mount speakers on the galley side and back in the bedroom. Swapping the surface mounts is simple but for the life of me I can't figure out how to gain access to the speakers behind the cloth (in a non-destructive manner)!

Each enclosure has a small speaker for the Sony home theater system and a larger one tied to the Jensen. The surround sound system sounds great but the audio tied to the Jensen is horrible. Any help upgrading the speakers would be most appreciated!
