Accessing TV rear panel in Phaeton 36GH

Hey folks. I am tickled to say that my wife & I purchased a 2014 Phaeton 36GH yesterday. What an amazing coach.

It appears the outside TV and the inside TV are back to back. I'd like to install a firestick on each but am wondering what is the trick to getting access to the rear of the TV's. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Zoli

On the outside TV, there is a mounting plate the TV is attached to. There should be about 8-10 screws around the TV on the metal plate. When you remove those the whole TV and mounting plate can be lifted out. Be careful it is not light with the plate.

For the inside TV, there should also be a metal mounting plate. Look below the TV and there will be 4-5 screws. Remove those and the TV lifts off the mounting bracket.

If you are wanting to access the HDMI ports, there's an easier way. In your AV cabinet you will have two HDMI splitters with cables. One of them is for the BluRay player and the other for a satellite receiver. You can use those HDMI cables for accessories. I put a HDMI A/B switch in the BluRay HDMI cable so I can switch it from BluRay to a second satellite receiver. Then all I have to do is select BluRay (or DVD) input on the TV to access the receiver.

Here's a generic diagram of how the AV in most Tiffin coaches is laid out.

That is great info Dan!!! Thank you very much. So I removed the main room TV and was to see what as behind that (and there was a bunch) and I was finally able to find the AV cabinet as well.

A few questions

I see an OTA/Cable switch in the diagram. Is that a manual switch and where might that be?

In my bedroom, In the TV cabinet I have a group of 5 RCA cables coming in that are on a ribbon cable. What are these for?

I found the Tripod cable... is that a group of 3 coax cables?

There is one spare HDMI cable that is on the shelf above the the blue ray player. Is that the output for a satellite box if there would be a satellite box in the coach? If yes, I think I can just hook the FireStick to that cable......

Thanks again.

On your year coach, it should be either in the cabinet above the passenger seat or above the dash. It will look like an outlet cover with a coax connection and a push button. Push button in and LED on for OTA signal and out and off for park cable.

In my bedroom, In the TV cabinet I have a group of 5 RCA cables coming in that are on a ribbon cable. What are these for? Those are probably composite RGB output wires for a satellite receiver, but those are outdated if you have HDMI there for a receiver.

I found the Tripod cable... is that a group of 3 coax cables? The tripod connection is just one coax. The other two are probably for a roof mounted satellite antenna.

There is one spare HDMI cable that is on the shelf above the the blue ray player. Is that the output for a satellite box if there would be a satellite box in the coach? If yes, I think I can just hook the FireStick to that cable...... Yes, that should be the satellite HDMI cable and you should be able to hook a firestick there. Then you just select "Satellite" input on your TVs.

Thanks again.

Hope these help.
