Adding A/C Soft Start

I have a 2014 Allegro RED. I would like to add Micro-Air Easy Starts to the air conditioners to hopefully allow them to start (for short periods) when running on the lithium house batteries. My question is whether the standard Magnum 2000W Inverters for this model and year were normally connected to the A/C units to be able to do this? If not, does anyone know what's involved in connecting or setting up the inverter to run the A/Cs?

The standard Magnum 2000W inverter will not run your A/C unit(s). You are going to have to seriously upgrade your inverter and lithium battery bank to even run the A/C unit for a couple of minutes. Starting the generator and running both A/C units seems to make much more sense.

One AC unit will draw 14+ amps running. That is about what you inverter provides. Even with a soft start, you won't get too many minutes before your batteries die.

Our 2014 Allegro Bus, with a 2800W pure sine inverter, will not start an AC.

I have seen several people testing how long their AC will run using lithium on Youtube. They were getting 2+ hours of runtime off a 400-600 Ah battery bank. If I were to upgrade the inverter, do you know if its already connected to the ACs or what level of rewiring is necessary?

I explored this concept. Running an air conditioner off an inverter simply doesn't make sense - yet. The technology is coming but with our standard battery banks it just doesn't work. Run the generator.

I have run one AC [with easy start] on a 2000 watt inverter with 4 battleborn's with no other loads. bear in mind, your ac will require 150+ amps from your batteries though, so good wiring is important. Of course, you will have to put that ac on the inverter circuit.
