Allegro 36la L couch extension
As I pull the couch extension out to create the L couch, it clearly slants downward toward the center of the coach. As if the room slide were hanging low on the outside wall. I was told by a dealer rep that a trip to Red Bay was in order to raise the room slide height. I would find a dealer comfortable with adjusting slide height before driving to Red Bay..geeesh. But I'm not convinced this is the issue. A couple of questions..
Has anyone else with this configuration notice this with their L couch?
I see clearly how to adjust the slide height. There are bolts that anchor the slide in a slotted frame. Once loosened, there are bolts that run vertically to either raise or lower the slide, then tighten the slide bolts. Can anyone offer some advise on this? Do I need to be concerned with the slide rollers in relationship to adjusting slide height? What is the mechanism that stops the slides outward travel? Is there a switch somewhere?

The carpeted area the main part of the sofa sits on is higher than the main floor. Mine angles down also when pulled out. The only problem it has caused so far is a 6" tear on the bottom of the Halo Leatherette that covers the panel below the seat cushion. It drags when closing on the metal frame of the main section. I am getting a replacement piece of fabric to repair it. I will trim the wooden backer to prevent the rubbing.
The slide should be adjusted to create an even seal against the side of the coach and not adjusted to create a straight floor for the extension to sit on.

Thanks kab. I believe the slide is level and the seals are centered on the wall. I do notice that when the slide is in, the top seal is not as compressed as the bottom, but it is even along the length of the slide (front to rear). It's as if the top is tilted out about 1/2". But the seal is making contact up there and there are no leaks..

Got time today to check ours. Put a level on the floor in front of the couch. With the 'L' open, put level on seat, then put the level on the main couch. All three measurements on ours were within one degree of the floor measurement. Please do this before anyone 'adjusts' anything !!! DW said to look at 'L' piece and see that the seat back is just a little lower than the main couch. Your dealer doesn't want to touch it. Don't know that I'd even let 'um. If you adjust....do it very slowly.

I have noticed on the 2013 36LA we just purchased that when the LR slide comes in that it has made dents all across the tile floor where the frame touches the floor.

Our couch extension has always been off a bit. I made a spacer out of some extra pieces of carpet to put under mine when we are going to be parked for a few days to level it out with the rest of the couch. It doesn't much to bring it up, maybe a half inch if that.

We had a problem just one time when the "L" couch slid off the track. It was low on the seat that slides out. I put it back on the track and never had another problem.

We own a 2013 36la and last year we went to tiffin for a few adjustments and had a couple of tiles replaced there. All the tech did was wedge a putty knife in the seam where the tiles meet, and lifted it off the deck.. You should have spare tiles from the factory in the compartment behind the propane area. Pry the bad ones up and stick the new ones down.. Super easy…
