Allegro 36LA; Oil and Filter Type, Fumoto Valve

hi everyone

we have been full timing in our 2009 itasca sun cruiser 35p (which has the gm 8.1 engine). we are about to move in to a 2015 allegro 36la and have some engine oil questions...

1. what oil does the ford need? (i have been looking on the ford website, but have not see it mentioned

2. what oil filter does the ford need? (see above)

3. is anyone using a fumoto oil change valve? have one with the suncruiser, sure makes changing the oil a lot easier.

thanks for the help - it is appreciated
pdq

I use the Motorcraft 5/20 synthetic blend with a Motorcraft filter. I get it at Walmart in a 5 quart jug and then get 2 single quart bottles. I change every 5000 or once a year since we are weekend warriors . I`m sure others will chime in.

This is the Fumoto valve that I have.

I also used the Motorcraft oil and filter.

Full Synthetic 5/20 Mobil One. I use a Fram filter, can't recall the number. Fumoto Drain valve is great. I attach the drain tube to it to keep the oil from splashing all over the place. Thanks for the reminder, mine is due after coming back from Florida.

I really like the Ford 5-20, but garage I use has Mobile 5-20, which has a little longer life. I've used both the Ford and Mobile oil in 2 Ford V10's and have never had a engine problem. Dave

I use Mobil 1 5w-20 and I get it in quart bottles when Sams or Costco has it on sale. It cost about $4.25 when it is on sale and the quart bottles are easier to pour in the filler tube than the 5 quart jug.

I have the Fram Sure Drain on my oil pan for 10 years without issue. Has a dust cap instead of a lever. Very easy and simple to use.

Mobil One full synthetic, Ford filter and Fumoto valve on our last F-53 chassis MH. I would not use a Fram filter, too many bad stories....
Fumoto makes it much easier and cleaner as the drain is right above the straight axle....
